This week, we've been chatting to Ray who is General Manager at our Elm Grove Flour Pot Bakery.

"I've been working for The Flour Pot for I think just under a year and a half now.

I started my journey with The Flour Pot as Head Barista at The Beach store. After a summer there I moved up to Elm Grove where I was managed by the lovely Lizzie! I have just recently become General Manager of this site and I am loving it! 

A typical day for me sounds like this; I come in and make myself a cheeky coffee and put some music on in order to set the mood right for the day. After opening the shop we'll welcome in our lovely customers.

I spend time making sure the shop is looking pretty and presentable throughout the day with a nice atmosphere for our customers. I will also spend some time on the laptop getting any admin done such as responding to emails or ordering.

Of course I will throw a few deep cleaning tasks in there as we can see some quiet afternoons here at Elm - and who doesn't love some good old cleaning?!

The thing I love most about working for The Flour Pot are the lovely customers we get day to day. We're very lucky here at Elm because we have such lovely regulars who make our days even more enjoyable.

I also love the community within the company. We all here to support each other, whether that be helping with cover or just with day to day questions."
