Gito means "tiny" in Kinyarwanda: a reference to its small screen size (13–14), which would normally send this coffee straight to the commodity market. Our importers Raw Material, working with Muraho Trading Co., identified these lots as something special, sorted by density, and brought them into the specialty channel. It's a coffee most people would never have had the chance to taste. Rich volcanic soils, well-defined seasons, and slow cherry maturation give it a vibrant, layered character: red fruits, syrupy sweetness, and a bright, clean finish.
• Produced by: Muraho Trading Co., Rugali, Kilimbi & Gisheke Washing Stations. Imported by Raw Material.
• Why it's special: Coffee rescued from the commodity market. Producers receive fair prices and direct access to specialty markets.
• Sell it as: Vibrant, approachable, and a great talking point. Works beautifully as both filter and espresso.
• Another relationship coffee we're excited to build on year on year.
