This season we’ve sourced 2 excellent coffees from the Izuba Washing Station in Burundi’s Kayanza province.

Izuba, meaning ‘Sun’ in Kirundi, is our long-term importing partner, Raw Material Coffee’s, production and export operation in Burundi. Mugoyi is the name of one of the three hills surrounding Izuba, from which coffee cherry is collected or delivered from. Cherry purchases are recorded by both producer and hillside, which allows lots to be built which display the differences in profile from locations surrounding the washing station

This washed coffee is washed, de-pulped, fermented around 20 hours and dried around 20 days.

We’ve been finding notes of chamomile,  golden syrup & sweet pastry in the cup.

  • We deliver to all the following locations: Brighton, Hangleton, Hassocks, Hollingbury, Hove, Lewes, Lancing, Patcham, Peacehaven, Portslade, Rottingdean, Rustington, Saltdean, Shoreham By Sea, Sompting, Southwick, Stanmer, Steyning, Westdene, Woodingdean and Worthing (East & West)
  • Delivery charge and minimum orders - there is a small delivery charge and a minimum order value of £7.50 per order. We are excited to be able to offer free delivery for orders over £30
  • 48 hours notice required to make order - for us to prepare your order, we can require up to 48 hours. For example, if you wanted to delivery on Wednesday, your order must be placed before 12pm on Monday.
  • We'll deliver to you between 9:30am-3pm - due to demand we're unable to specify exact times, but rest assured your delivery will be made during this time on your chosen day. At Christmas time deliveries may be made up tp 5pm

CLICK & COLLECT INFO
  • 48 hours notice is required before pickup. Orders must be placed by 12pm.
  • We offer free collection from any store. Pastries and bread orders will be ready to collect when the store opens.
  • Please note that orders containing cakes, sweets and gift sets will be available after 11:00am only
  • Collect any day of the week (Mon-Sun) subject to store opening times which can be viewed here (link to locations page)
  • The minimum order value is £5 per order and there is no extra charge for click & collect orders.
  • We’re happy for someone else to collect the order on your behalf but please get them to bring along the proof of the order with them
